Frequently asked questions.

Everything you need to know before your first visit. Still have a question? Reach out and I'll answer honestly.

No. California is a direct-access state, so you can start physical therapy with me without a referral or prescription. Under California law (AB 1000) I can evaluate and treat you directly for up to 45 calendar days or 12 visits, whichever comes first. If your care needs to run longer, I coordinate a plan of care with your physician.

Ready to move without limits?

Fifteen minutes, no obligation. Tell me what is going on and I will tell you honestly whether I can help.

No referral needed

Direct access in California.

Since 2014, California law (AB 1000) lets you see a licensed physical therapist directly, with no referral or prescription from a physician. I can evaluate and treat you for up to 45 calendar days or 12 visits, whichever comes first.

In plain terms: if your back, knee, or shoulder is telling you something is wrong, you can book with me this week. No waiting weeks for a doctor's appointment just to get permission to start.

If your care needs to run longer, I coordinate a plan of care with your physician so nothing slows down. And if anything in your evaluation points to a problem outside physical therapy, I will refer you to the right specialist.
